Konark Bhandari is a fellow in the Technology and Security Program at Carnegie India. Konark contributes regularly to discussions on the semiconductor ecosystem, with his contributions being acknowledged in the SIA-IESA semiconductor “readiness assessment” report under the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET) between the U.S. and India. He is also an expert on the regulation of the space technology ecosystem and the digital economy in India and has written on India’s approach to international space partnerships and antitrust regulation of companies in the digital realm. His research also involves looking at technology transfer issues involving export controls. A lawyer by training, Konark previously worked at the Competition Commission of India (CCI), India’s antitrust regulator, where he worked closely with senior officials on a variety of matters and was also a member of the Internal Coordination Committee for the Think Tank on Digital Markets. His experience also includes several years with the global law firm Rajah & Tann Asia in Singapore, where he worked in their South Asia Practice Group and Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) team.
